SWISS KRONO AG is one of the world’s leading companies in the production and finishing of wood-based materials such as chipboard, laminate flooring, or impregnated paper. The production of these wood-based materials requires complex and coordinated processes. A failure in one production area always impacts the entire production process of the respective product. SWISS KRONO places great importance on quality, a good price-performance ratio, and last but not least, regional proximity when selecting external service providers. That is precisely why iTS Kanal Services AG is the right partner.
Problem
Numerous and highly complex processes are required for the production of SWISS KRONO AG’s diverse wood-based materials. A multitude of additives and components are transported within the plant through so-called «process lines», reaching their respective processing locations over sometimes long distances. With the admixture of special adhesives or through the conveyance of this wood-adhesive mixture, deposits can form and harden within the lines. The dimensions of these lines range from DN100 to DN800 and can extend over several floors in the production halls.
Solution
To remove these stubborn deposits from the process lines, a special cleaning procedure using ultra-high-pressure water up to 2,500 bar and appropriate tools is necessary. Thanks to its experienced employees, high-quality specialized tools, and a healthy spirit of innovation, iTS was able to offer SWISS KRONO AG an efficient and high-quality solution for this industrial pipe cleaning.
Satisfaction
We were able to significantly increase cleaning performance and thus considerably shorten maintenance shifts during product changes. Furthermore, through our comprehensive range of services and digitalization, we offer significant added value for SWISS KRONO AG. The management at SWISS KRONO AG is therefore very satisfied with our services.
